Homework has to be done almost every day. Sometimes kids have trouble doing the "same old thing" -- and they can get a bit distracted, feisty, or worse. We think that sometimes a little change can help create a big, positive attitude change.

So for today's activity, during homework time, why not switch up venues? It just might be the encouragement that your kids need to finish the final chapter in their book, fill out a math worksheet, or complete their research on Sea Cucumbers. And it just might be a welcome change for you, too.
For a venue change, try the library. It's already quiet there and the atmosphere is fairly academic. A local coffee shop is also a good place to change things up — most teens and college students will be working there in a few years anyway. Or you can even grab a clip board and head to the park. Nothing makes people do homework quicker that seeing other kids playing.
Have fun changing it up today!
